Technical
Support Representative (Email Resume)
Location: San Diego
Employment: Full Time
Description: Technical Support Representative will
provide technical telephone and email support to external customers for Windows
2000 Web hosting based applications in client/server environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
preferred
- Knowledge of Server/Workstation, and TCP/IP
- Familiarity with SQL databases
- Overall Windows NT 4.0 experience is helpful
- Bilingual or multilingual
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience providing
technical support
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of and work experience with NT
- Work experience supporting Win95, Win98 and
WinNT
- Ability to follow written and verbal
instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication
skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Ability to make sound decisions based on
customer needs and technical knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize
Responsibilities:
- Primary function is email technical support
- Provide online escalation management,
trouble-shooting, and problem-solving resolutions to support customers
- Information gathering via email regarding
customer issues
- Resolve customer issues and document all
support procedures in database
- Create service notes, training, and
application notes as required
- Influence support in the early development
of solutions, develop plans for transition into support
- Perform other duties as assigned
