How
do I create an email alias?
An email alias is a
virtual mail box for your domain which routes your emails to another
address directly without storing that email.
To access your
email accounts, you must type the URL
http://mail.yourdomain.com:8383 or http://yourIPaddress:8383 in your
browser. It is crucial that you include the http:// .
Also, for new accounts you must use the IP address until your domain
name transfer completes.
To
create an alias, logon to the WebMail Server.
Click on the Alias
Administration option from the drop down menu located on the top
right hand side of your screen. You have
unlimited amount of users, aliases and forwards.
To
create the user, click on "Alias Administration". "Postmaster"
is a default alias.
Next Click on Add
Now
input a AliasID
(this will be AliasID@yourdomain.com) and input a
Destination. This is the e-mail address where your
e-mail address will be forwarded to. When you are finished, click
Save to create the new alias.
This
new alias will now be redirected to the destination address.
